E-check blows

This is not really a big deal, but more of a pain in the arse. I hate
E-check. Sure it may serve some purpose in California or other heavily congested states and cities, but I live in Ohio. Its boring here, and the only thing we have are our cars. Ok Ok, so we were a heavily polluted city a while back and maybe E-check is our punishment for that, but times are different.

The reason why I hate E-check on a personal level is because my 240 just failed it. I basically replaced the whole exhaust with new, higher performing, yet street legal parts. And this is what I get, nothing but a headache. I know that when combining certain aftermarket parts together that sometimes it makes it less emissions friendly, but what's the point of doing a catback exhaust system without doing headers and a hi-flo cat?

Well, I know there are others out there with similar problems, and I feel for the ones who have it worse off than me. So who else hates E-check? I know I'm not alone here.

i have full exhaust too on one of my 240s, it passed with flying colors. Check your egr valve, mine was clogged which made it not pass once. I cleaned it out and baaaam perfect pass.

Now on my coupe i got it liscensed in a small town that doesnt require emissions checks.....so i will run a test pipe now lol.

yeah i figured it was the egr. I havent gotten to it yet, but what did u use to clean it out?

also, what exhaust did you put on yours?

i have a hotshot header, catco cat, and Apexi dual N1.

BUT I STILL HATE E-check!
