Do what? Im not a fan of Hondas, but that red CRX is a track killer. Some old man and his son drive it on the weekends at the track and every once in a while on the street. And the guy that owns the Eclipse has dumped plenty of money into the motor way befor he started on the exterior. And it looks as though he hinks that if it has a body kit its a ricer? Prick

that guy just seems like an asshole to me. one thing i've noticed is the anit-rice bandwagon is getting fucking huge. everybody is so damn quick to call a car rice, just so they can seem cool. i know theres some bad ones out there, but i'm sorry, a car with nothing but altezzas and altezzas alone, chrome, carbon fiber whatever they may be, that isnt rice dammit. rice is when you have the exhaust with the tip you could play basketball with and park bench for a wing (i stole that anology from someone btw) and those spray on chrome wheels you saw at wal-mart the other day. jesus, the word rice is gettin severly blown out of proportion, my RS has been called rice and that shit is all stock besides Sylvania headlights and smoked taillights :screwy: so yea, thats my beef for the day dammit.

I have been called a "ricer" from other asians at school that drives them honda half cars... umm they're called hatchbacks right?!! Its funny how they tried to be cool with me after i raced a mustang GT and acutally kept up with it.

Lesson is: I wouldnt mind being called a ricer. Its funny to me because i have done absolutely nothing to my car (except the original owner engine work).

Yeah, I totally agree! Although I think something can be considered rice if all they have done is come lights, chrome, whatever and they think they are the shit.

rice is nothing but alot of stupid half ass mods... if ur car looks awsome then thats not rice thats a nice car... if its not fast... (yet) thats there problem... rice is a un painted bodykit... with a 1 foot drop and 4 inch rims.... and i mean ya some of those large wings are stupid... but.. at high speeds they do server a use... if ur going around a corner... they keep ur ass on the ground and dont let ur tail wip as much... if that was a GSX he had all rights to put that wing on there because he has drive to his rear wheels... i want to modify my car to look good right now... till i am older and can afford to make engine mods... people just hate because a car looks awsome and they i dunno... feel wimpy with there weak car... now if he had a 500 HP Dodge Charger... it would show a actual reason to be mad at people for making a car look good without performance... if not leave people alone to do WHATEVA THEY WANT TO THERE CARS!!!

the term rice is in the middle of chaning meanings. To tuners its a negative term, meaning half ass mods that don't look good and serve no purpose. like cutting your springs, fake hood scopes, fake z3 fenders, chrome wheel covers, tasteless stickers etc.

To the non tuner population it's starting to mean anyone how mods their car either for performace, or looks.

For example, a few people at work called me a ricer when i put altezzas on my accord. But they also said they looked really nice. the term to me was a put down, but to them it wasn't.

IMHO a car thats not fast, but looks awsome is just that an awsome looking car thats not fast. I have no problems with cars that look awsome, to each his own. As long as they don't think or act like its fast when its not.

Someone with a GS/RS could be considered a ricer if he did his car all show, and acted like it was fast when it wasn't. its all about the additude. If he was like man my car looks good but i wish it had a turbo etc. then he just has a show car. or maybe he has a ton into the engine. personaly i love show cars, they just look good!

i've had people call me a ricer because my car is lowered by 1.5" with KYB shocks, and Skunk2 coilovers, and i have a B&M short shifter. Its a nice relativly fast car with nice name brand mods. but people call it rice because it has any mods what so ever.

i do think thoes eclipses in there are rice or ricer... they are non-turbos with big wings and graphics...it basically sunk to the honda style of ricer....

To me a ricer is someone who thinks their car is uber fast when its a stock 95 neon. Or unpainted body kits. Their is this delsol around here that has like 3 or 4 different color panel on it.

how does he know that that car aint a GST or GSX... wouldent u just say that what model it was... like anyone that dident know much about eclipses would know anything about the models anyway...

they didnt call it a gtx they said it isnt a gst/gsx.

btw did you see the dodge caravan with the big chromes and the smoked headlights?

does scream rice. i had a huge wing on my car untill i took it off. one day i looked at it and said wtf is the purpose of that? no reason to put a huge ass wing on your car unless its a all show car
