350Z Competition?

So what's the 350Z's competition...first lets cut up the 350Z to find out what we got

2 seater, 2 door sports car RWD for 30K w/a V6 creating 280+ (wink wink)

Now...given that criteria of 2 seater, 2 door sports car RWD for around 30K...who can we say is the real competition???

Here are some that you cannot for some reasons that will be mentioned:

RX8-4 doors and probably not going to be as reliable as the Z or as fast for that matter

S2000-roadster; until the Z comes out w/its convertible...then these two will fight a bitter battle for roadster domination if the convertible is still around 30K

Mustang GT-4 seater; nuff said

Audi TT- Maybe the 180HP one b/c it's lower in price but then it would get creamed performance wise and handling wise and just about everything wise...hehehe...the 220HP version is just too expensive...also these are either FWD or AWD...so not the same there either

Besides the RX8 (cuz it hasn't come out yet), the Z will most likely cream all of the cars listed above; except for the S2000, which the Z will most likely beat (not cream). Mustang GT? It gets creamed by the S2K easily. Audi TT w/225hp, still way too slow, best I've seen is 6.0 in 0-60. It's not way too expensive. The 180hp version's MSRP is less than $32K; the 225hp version's MSRP is only $36,100. That's not much more than a Touring or Track Z.

Onto the next subject, isn't the base Z gonna be the quickest of the 5 versions? Because it'll be the lightest resulted from having the least features, such as VDC, Traction, and all the other little stuff. All those can add up to a hefty weight. And it comes with smaller rims, which prove to be more effective in performance than bigger rims. As a result, wouldn't it make sense that the base will be the quickest? Probably the Touring will be the slowest of the bunch (not by much though), because it has other amenities, heated, power seats, etc., making it heavier than the others.
