Where to install a block heater

I cant seem to find where to install the block heater. Does any one know where to find it?

From what I know of block heaters they are installed right under the oil pan. Because heat rises so heat the oil it will keep the inside warm. Factory ones are installed inside the oil pan like on my moms MBZ.
