...oil Bill Ford. It seems like these valve cover gaskets are las effective as screen doors on submarines. What is it going to take to get Lincoln to issue recalls on this egregious mistake.
I honestly believe we are only seeing a small sample of what is going on as most folks just are not internet savvy enough to come online and seek out others with the same problem. What does it take to hold Lincoln to task and make them admit the horrible mistake they have made.
I love my car a lot but I am tired of seeing the same problem over and over again all over the US. Seems like we get 10 new cases a month yet the only action I have seen from Lincoln is to repair a seat latch.
I am not a litigous person by any measure but if there ever was a case that needed to be heard it would be this one. So what does it take? A petition a lawyer? What?

When I brought mine in for the same problem, I told them I had a good idea it was the gaskets and they looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. later on the tech apologized and replaced my gaskets.

I have the same problem with my 2000LS. The dealer wants $400.00 to do the job which takes 4hrs. The Service Manager said to call Lincoln Customer Assistance Center at 800-521-4140 and if we all call maybe they will do something.[Do'nt bet on it]. Thanks Ken

i am just tired of seeing hard working folks get taken for a ride on this problem. It is clearly systemic and should be addressed by Lincoln.

Is this problem on V-6s and or V-8s ? Has it been corrected in the later models? I have a 2004 V-6, do I have this to look forward to?

I have a V6 and it has occured twice once under warranty and the second I am about to do myself. I know folks this has happened to multiple times with v8's as well upto the 02 models. Not certain about 03 and 04.

I haven't seen it on 03's and 04's. Lincoln probably lost to much money replacing them under warrenty to let the problem exist and made upgraded gaskets.
