Do they have Castrol Super Clean where you live? It works great and highly recommend it. Just make sure you where gloves when you use it.

You first put the Super Clean in a plastic container. Make sure it is large enough so the model will fit in it. Then just put the pieces in it and let them soak for about 2 or 3 hours. After that you should be able to remove some of the paint. I found that a toothbrush makes it easier. You might have to let it soak in the cleaner for a few more hours, because it might not come completely off.
I have left a model in the Castrol Super Clean for 4 days and had no damage to the plastic. So you don't have to worry about that. Just make sure you wear gloves, and work in a ventilated area.
