Wow this town sucks!

So last night I figured id ride around this boring town and look for some trouble. I have seen plenty of riced out cars around here so I figured there might be some people out looking for some fun. I drive around for about an hour and see nothing, then on my way home I pass a gas station where a couple civics and a celica are parked talking. As soon as I pass I hear engines fire up and they all fly off after me. So finally when they catch up to where I am Im at a red light all by myself, so the celica pulls up beside me and revs his engine, I figure why the hell not and rev mine back. The light turns green and I launch like Ive never launched before. The celica never had a chance because its driver aparently had never driven a stick shift before based on the sounds I heard, so I slow down after hitting about 90 and so does the celica. His civic buddies catch up to him...and he puts his flashers on like he won or something. I was amazed, and I didnt want his friends to think he had won, so I slow down and pull up beside him and ask him if he would like to have another go but he said that his friend in the black civic would. So we go from 45mph and I pull away fairly quickly and after im going about 120 and I see that he is way behind me I back off. Then the bastard comes flying past me and hits his flashers. So finally I said screw it and went home. Last time I checked it was the car in front that won right? Or have I been getting this wrong the whole time?

We should nock their head against the wall while explaining that they don't win by doing a fly by, maybe then they store it in their brains, fiew i'm getting tired of them you know.

There is one way to eliminate the ricer fly-by. If there is no traffic or turns and it is safe (which this is the kind of road you should be racing on anyway) just keep going a little bit more till you have a couple buslengths, then they cant catch you to do the flyby.

I love messing with Rice boys like that!!! My favorite thing(and it really pisses them off and makes them realize how slow they are), I'll smoke them, then slow down to an almost crawl, then when they are tearing through the gears trying to do the flyby, I let them get to my rear bumper and romp on it again! It only takes a second to blaze by them again. They don't even have time to hit the hazards! :naughty:

My dad did the same thing in his '59 Corvette to some rednecks (no offense RedNeck383) in a truck trying to mess with him. Really funny stuff if you ask me.

The thing I hate more than fly bys though is when they'll fly by a bit but will cut right in front of you. They think it's cute to watch you hit your brakes not wanting to run into them.

I wonder what htey would do if yo uwhere going in the opposite direction of them and there was no traffic behind you at all and they took off on one of their ricer races and you put it in reverse and beat them untill you ran out of RPM's? I would feel like shit if some one beat me in reverse.

Agreed, most ricers look at a domestic and don't realize they might possibly have more than a 1.5L engine. BTW were did you get your turbo kit from, my car has the same engine but all I can find is supercharger's.

i have a supercharger, not a turbo. my supercharger kit was put together by GM, but the actualy blower is a Eaton M45. The kit is only made for 2000-2002 2.4L. This is because they have a different starter and PCM. The computer on your malibu cant take the reflash that it needs to control the supercharger set up. But many people have just replaced the start and got a piggy back system. I think theirs one or two other things you need. But i got mine from paceperformance.com 2,200 shipped to my door. The kit is the most complete kit ive ever seen, it comes with injectors, belts, brackets, supercharger, hoses, gen 2 map sensor, even a little sticker to put on your gas door that says "Premium Fuel Only" that just kinda puts the icing on the cake imo.

I made a list of turbos and blowers for the cavaliers, just look for the 2.4L turbos, theirs one or two i think.

Whoops I guess it is supercharged sorry about that. Thanks for the list, I am trying to get ideas on how hard my car will be to supercharge/turbocharge.

Whenever a ricer tries a flyby on me, I just pace them...that REALLY pisses them off. More than getting so far ahead of them...that and when my friend leans out the window and shouts "Hes not even trying...hes just toying with you!"
