I have the 4.3 V6 currently I am upgrading to the 350 for obvious reasons. I have a few questions though.

I have a buddie with a 350 4bolt main out of a '80's model camero that is fully rebuilt. I can have it for dirt cheap he owes me.

It has an eld. intake and carb. I want to get rid of that, will the FI stuff bolt right on or is there more to it than that?

Also will this engine bolt right in? If I remember correctly it will but not sure. Thanks for all your help.

If it's multiport fuel injection, it will definately not work. If it's TBI, I would think the injectors would probably be unable to supply the fuel for the 350 at higher RPMs. You'll also have to hook up the sensors that the 4.3L uses, such as O2 sensors, engine temp, and so on.

If you decide to try bolting on the TB, please post again and tell me how it works, I want to take the TB off my S-10 4.3L and put it on the 350 in my Silverado.

Also, I think the engine mounts have to be switched, and possibly relocated.

I just put a 5.0 in my '88 C-1500 that had the 4.3. It's got an edelbrock performer intake for the TBI a slightly bigger cam and a lotta chrome goodies!
I had to use the injectors off the 5.0, but used my 4.3 TBI unit abd computer. It runs a little rich, but that may be 'cause I'm too lazy to set the distributor back another notch so that I can time it right!
