Hey. My b/f has a CAG that I ride. They are soooooooo much fun, but you have to get one that is "worth" modding. There is a bunch of stuff you can do with them, and the best part is that mods are CHEAP compared to street bikes. You can do the traditional air filter/exhaust combo as well as get big bore carbs and stuff. The things people do with these bikes is insane... and when you wreck, it doesn't hurt that much. Don't get me wrong, I was pacing my b/f's bike with my street bike, and he was doing about 25-30mph through a course on the short straightaways.
I would NOT get one from Pep Boys or Sears or anything like that. If you are interested in getting one, PM me and I will direct you to a better source.
But, yeah, they are a TON of fun, but know the laws in your area. Pittsburgh, PA has passed a law in their county prohibiting riding them on public roads.

Like Tangie said I have a CAG. Real cheap way to see if you will like it. They are real simple mechanically. If you can tear down a lawnmower engine then you have plenty of mechanical know how to keep it running. The getoffs aren't too bad. Low side/high side and the only damage was an asphalt mark on my jeans. Buy extra clutch springs, tires/wheels, spark plugs, fasteners and a decent set of knee pucks. Trust me on the last one. Cheap fun. I usually put about 15k on my street bike. Last summer I only did like 8500. Nuff said. Its kinda addictive. Have fun.

Buy one of the "better" ones with suspension etc... I bought a cheapo one and sold it in 2 weeks. The real small ones are impossible to ride without dragging your shoes and they are unstable as hell. Just shop around.

Suspension is for wusses! :p I love the feel of the pavement... I think it's better than riding a street bike most of the time! I can drag everything on a pocket bike every time I go out. I'm lucky if I even warm-up my full tire on my street bike on most rides!

I think I'll pick up a YSR50 if I want to ride something like that again. The mini I picked up was just too small and cheap.
