Need help on rear speaker installation

The ebay kits are just going way to much and I've searched in all the bone yards for a year now, so I'm giving up and I want to install them in the trays. I have some 6" 1/2 pioneer speakers and from what I can see, they'll fit in the little tray pocket on the rear shelves, but my knowledge of the kit itself is not all that great.

In the rear speaker kit, is there any brackets that go underneath the shelve to support them? Are the speakers screwed to the shelve itself of the kit with grill? How big of a hole do I have to cut out for the magnet? How does the kit go on anways?

The reason I'm asking is that I want to put them in the back, but I don't want to screw up something and then find the kit later down the road, buy it and then find out that it won't work cause of what I did. The magnet barely touches the tray bottom so I don't think I'll need to cut anything, but can I screw the screw holes on the tray? Would it support it alright?

Any help would be appreciated

Can you take pictures of what your talking about or a link. I have changed my speakers 100's of times with no problems.

I think you should be able to fit 6.5's in the stock brackets. If not, I know 6's will work, You shouldn't have to do any cutting, just take out the old brackets, mount the speaker in it, then put it back in.

The tray works fine, very similar to the real kit.
Just cut a hole to fit and screw it down.
The speaker usually come with a patteren.
The only issue is really deep speakers sometimes you need a spacer.
The pioneers should be fine.
The tray just pops out, cut with a dremmel is easest

The issue is no matter what they dont sound to great, not enough airspace.
I usually recomend blocking 100hz and under
