As the title states. Can I swap an auto crx dx ecu in my manual std hatch? I know you can't do it the other way around, but will the ecu work though in this way?

I had a '90 EX 4 door auto ecu in my crx for the longest time and didn't know it. So I guess it'll work.

Really? There was no random codes or odd things happening to the engine?

I ran it for almost a year and a half like that. The guy that sold it to me said it was a "ZC" computer, well i didn't know shit about honda's back then, so I believed him. I come to find out later when I went to do my mini-me swap, that it was that auto 4 door EX ecu. The car ran fine. But don't hate me if your doesn't run right

i found a site that i can't find now, that said if you have an AT ECU you have to trick it into thinking it is in park all time or the car wont start. but just try it and see.

I never thought about the idea of it being in park though.
