Hey guys..
I have on '04 Z71 ext cab/SB. I've installed an Air Raid intake, Granatelli throttle body, throttle body spacer and a Gibson cat-back exhaust. I'm also running with a Superchips ECU programmer. I'm looking for a set of headers. I want it to be smog legal because I live in California. Who makes a quality set of headers that will fit this application? What HP & torque gains can I expect?

To be honest with you, the shorties are a direct replacement, but you're not really going to tell that much of a difference. The stock manifolds on these trucks flow pretty good, almost as good as the shorties. Several companies make some nice mid-length and long tube headers. This is where you'll get your good hp gains from. You might want to check out some Doug Thorleys. They are the cheapest set of long tubes. I have these and I love them!!! SummitRacing sells these. If you have the extra cash, you might look into some Arizona Speed and Marine, Lapole, or The Other Guys Headers. All nice units, but you'll definately pay top dollar for them.

Sooo..tell us, do you work for this place or something like that? It seems like every "OLD" thread that had anything to do with headers has been resurected given this site for reference. This is a site where we help each other and swap Silverado war stories and such and generally not intended as a marketing place. Thank you for your support!!!!
