I own a 2000 limited edition lancer GSR (i guess the japanese call it the mirage) and i have a problem with the intake manifold. My mechanic broke the adjustment screw located in the intake manifold and now, the engine feels out of sync. The idle is too low and i feel a rattling sound coming from the engine as i reach 3500 rpm and higher. Is there a remedy for this problem? You see guys here in the Philippines, mechanics are not very keen on creating remedies even for the smallest problem involving our cars. They want you to buy the whole part itself, and i feel it's not necessary. Help me out! Is there any way to replace this "screw" so as to increase the air flow and make my engine feel wonderful again? Tnx.

sounds like your mechanic is an asshole, there is a way to get it out but the time, money, and trouble aren't worth it. If you thught is was a good part before, it's not anymore. Me personally, i would kick the mechanics ass, or make him pay, either way i'd get mine.
