well my battery keeps draining. when i went to start it in the morning it was dead. i went out and bought a cheap battery and within 5 hours it is dead again. i tried pulling all fuses and watching voltage but none made it drop. anything else i should look at?

Are you sure its not your alt?

Check the Alternator.... same shit happened to me.......after a battery, and a tow i found it to be the culprit.....

To check if its your alt just turn the car on (if you can) then rev your engine in front of a wall or something. If the light beam stays normal its not the altinator if it dims and brightens dims and brightens its your alt.

well i pulled all fuses and put them back 1 at a time while checking battery with DVOM with ignition off. found that horn/stop light fuse under the hood pulling a little bit. then i did it with ignition in the on position. voltage was sturdy till i put back alternator solenoid valve fuse which caused voltage to drop about 2.5v. tried same thing on my 4d and voltage only dropped about .5. so im figuring its alternator, as stated before. what you all think?

What exactly does this mean? My headlights and guage lights get slightly brighter when I rev the engine. What exactly is the problem with my alternator now? Is it a serious problem?

lol i bought a rebuilt one about a year ago since then i've went through about 5-6 some of them were problems like diodes but i think over revving was the death of them

whats a decent price for an alternator? (new/rebuilt) and is it an easy fix for a beginner/novice mechanic? I've taken a look in the honda shop manual and it looks easy enough, but I'm not sure how much space there is to work with...

I just spent a bunch getting the water pump and timing belt replaced after being stranded 2 hours on the side of the road 6 hours from home, so another repair is not something I want to have to deal with.

Checking the alternator is as easy as removing the red (+) wire from the battery while the car is running. If the car dies, your alternator is dead. If it keeps running the alternator is not dead. But now that i think about it i don't know how this would find shorts in the alternator or anything.
