first off my clutch sucked to begin with. about half of the paddle had play. today i was in traffic i was holding the clutch down because it was stop and go, i know stupid me holding the clutch in. then traffic cleared up got it into 5th and came to my exit. to shift down i had to hame the clutch the the grownd and pull the shifter with 2 hands. pulled over to see if it had clutch fluid and it did. drove it to a parking lot, and let it sit for 4 hours. came back was a little hared to shift but got better as i went home. so the basic problem is, my clutch is not engaging all the way. what should i do?
p.s. i hold my clutch in alot when i am at lights and stop signs, i know that it is bad and i am trying to stop.

If not your throw out bearing, have a look at the linkage, I had a dodge that the linkage just needed some TLC and it seemed to work smoothly after.

I dont know what year it is, most probally a hydraulic clutch with no adjustment. The only thing I can think of to do is to try bleeding the clutch like you would brakes. Have some one pump the clutch pedal and hold down the pedal and bleed the slave cylinder usally on the trans. If it dosent help you will have to rebuild the clutch.
