1993 century transaxel problem

Hope someone can help with this.
I have a automatic 93 century that stalls when i come to a stop, it acts as if it is a standard that you just dont push in the clutch. the car runs just fine and shifts ok, when the car is cold everthing works fine after it warms up (app 10 miles) the trouble starts, I have changed fluid adj the kickdown cable and found it frayed so i replaced it, now it works half of the time. when it stalls at a stop it stays locked in gear and you start in netural and drop it in low to get going, once going it is fine again and the next time you stop it might be fine. Im fixing this car for a college student and she dosent have money so and low cost ideas will be much welcome

The Torque Convertor Lock up solenoid is bad. It should release the lock up in the convertor but it is not working so that is why the car stalls when you come to a stop. This is about a $50 dollar part from a dealer. IF you get a repair manual you can replace it yourself since it is not that hard. Some simple hand tools are all you need.
