Heating Troubleshooting

I have been reading some posts on heating problems, but they havent answered my questions completely. I have a 94 accord lx with 182k miles on it. My problem is I have no heat. My first thought was heater core, but then I did some research and found out it could be valves.
So my question is where can I find these heating valves to see if they are closed or stuck? Im also wondering what the other problems could be for no heat. What should I look for (tell me where to look and what its near please, give me clues and ill figure it out)?
Lastly, anyone have some good diagrams of an accord that shows what I should look for when trying to fix my heat?

There's only one valve (operated by the termperature control). Follow the narrower (about 1") rubber hoses back to the firewall on the passenger side. Close to the firewall, you'll see a cable-operated shutoff valve. Make sure it moves when the temp control is changed.
HOWEVER - I don't really think that's your problem. It xould still be a clogged heater core. Does the blower work on all speeds? Where is the temperature gauge sitting? It should be in the middle when the motor is warmed up. If not, you need to replace the thermostat.

The blower works at all speeds just fine, and my temp gauge is just below the middle mark. I just had my radiotor replaced, and they flushed out the sytem. Wouldnt that clear any cloggs that might cause a back up?
Where can I find that valve and how do I open it to allow heat?

Well, I thought I explained that (kind-of)
Follow the narrower (about 1") rubber hoses back to the firewall on the passenger side. Close to the firewall, you'll see a cable-operated shutoff valve. Make sure it moves when the temp control is changed.
Next suggestion - was the colling system bled after the rad was replaced. They SHOULD have known to do that, but who knows? It IS necessary.
Did the heater work BEFORE that rad was replaced?

Well I found the valve and played with it. The valve does move freely and isnt stuck, the motor also works. So I now think it must be my heater core. Im not sure if the system was bled when the radiator was replaced. But it was problably was because the mechanic who did the work always does a good job. The heat didnt work before either. So Im debating what to do now.
