Thinking about getting a 99 Prelude SH

I am thinking about getting a Prelude SH but is wondering will i get burned by a Evo, G35 Coupe, Accord Coupe V6, and WRX STI?

the new accord V6's are faster then any stock prelude any year. and I am refering to the 6 speed of course.

But the prelude SH, stock for stock, is an awesome handler....maybe not a good as the street racing evo or the sti, but still very very good...
If you plan on modding the lude, I wouldnt get an SH, get a base tranny, ATTS causes problems and shit, you wouldnt wanna deal with it going out and the front suspension is different from the regular 5th gen ludes so aftermarket isn't as good as you would expect....

tho if u talk about handler....the Lude would Rank as Good or even better then any of those car's yes and that means as good or even better then STi or Evo..Lude handle with the best of 4WD with-out being 4WD...trust me...specially on 5thGen's!!

tho, of course u won't be able to off-road "Rally" like and Sti or Evo but on street you're about even with not better/not far behind then those two cars...and about the Accord...yes the new ones R faster but not the 94-97 or 98-02..also Ludes handle better then any Accord...

I say...get a 4/5thGen and Sti on Paymetns...oh wait that's my DREAM..LoL...

So..... if everything i listed can burn me...... whats the point of getting a Prelude? Can i even keep up with those cars? What cars can i beat with a prelude sh?

You can outhandle 95% of the cars on the road with a Prelude SH. You can outaccelerate probably around 80% of the cars on the road...If it's a manual.

If i mod a prelude....how much money would it take to burn a 2003 Accord Coupe V6? and is there another car i should consider getting around the same price as a prelude?

well for one, you shouldn't be comparing a prelude, to a G35 coupe, an STI, or an Evo. Let's compare the price differences. G35 is over $40K, and the STI and Evo are both over $30K. So I guess your first advantage to the prelude is the fact that it's less then half the price. Second, you're comparing a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder (albeit high performance), to a high performance V6 and two turboed cars. G35...280hp, STI...300hp, Evo...276hp, prelude...190-200hp. Not to mention the difference in torque. So I guess what I'm trying to say is you're looking to two different ends of the specturm here. If you want a very nice handling car with good reliability at a decent price, that also has decent aftermarket support, go with the lude. If you want a new car, and you want performance, go with the STI. My friend has one, they're quick as hell and handle unbelievably...better than my lude, trust me. Another one of my friends had a G35 before he traded it in on a Cobra...that car was also quick as hell, plus luxurious. Basically, you get what you pay for.
