i tried calling local auto wreckers lookign for interior trim pieces cus i need the drive side fuse panel cover as well but theres nothing out here in bc, canada i found one but the guy is all like "ya well if i sell u the knob then my whole climate console is ruined and thats a 175 dollar part so i cant jus sell u the knob for 20 bucks" im like whattttttttttt hes like call in the mornin ill ask the boss to see if he can give u a deal.......
anyone have any ideas im sure i can fix this one i dunno tho its not gripping the piece that adjusts the fan speed

yeah so something simmalar happened to me instead of the knob not gripping the rod it attaches to stripped out to where it was a circle instead of the shape it is supposed to be i went to a junk yard that i knew had a couple of souls and luckly i took my brother with me and he knew the guy that was workin so i got the climate control unit for 80 $ 2 weeks later the knob cracked on me because i was taking some stuff apart and broke it i used j.b. weld to fill in the crack and it worked like a dream then when i went back to attach it to the rod i lost the peace that is inside it and tried a number of things to try to reatch it from glue to more j.b. weld the glue didnt work but the j.b. worked like a dream so go pick up sum j.b. weld and fill up the knobs interior section about half full then carefully line it up to where it is in the off position and hold it in place for like five minutes to assure that it will not turn. the next day it should be good as knew

nice thanks for the info i basically jus went to honda and bought a replacement knob, toook my awhile to figure out how to get it to work though because it was really loose fitting but it did change the fan speed, turns out i had to pull the old sleeve from the old knob off the switches rod (the thing that the knob grips to change the speed)
anyways i used needlenose pliers pulled the old sleeve off the rod and slipped the new knob on and it now fits/works like new im pleased lol
