which year odysseys are ok?

Hi all,im thinking about buying a used Odyssey and am wondering which years are ok?i mean which years dont have the transmission problems t hat i keep reading about?thanks

97 and older then, but they are smaller and dont have sliding doors and many of them had the 4 cyl. accord motor...

Well it seems that so far they fixed the 05 Oddy doors. No more junction switches but they seem to be rattle boxes. Had many with rattles already had one with 2k needing a center roller. but other than that no problems.

Oh yeah alot of people complaining about having a tough time closing the door or talgate with all the others shut. I guess the cars is so air tight that when you close the hatch there's nowhere for all that air to go.

Hmm, thanks for the heads up on the oddity newqs. We really haven't had any come in yet execpt for some ecplise and rosen installs. Metra doesn't have a kit out yet for the 05 so the installer has to make each dash kit by hand. Now think how different the new radio bezels are.

Oh yeah one more thing. There are some with an anoying pop noise that sounds like its from were the front seatbelt retracters are mounted on the "B" pillar. A little grease or shinitzu on the little black bumpers on the front edge of the slider will fix the noise. Just so you don't go crazy trying to find it.

I hate those noise complaints. You fix one, "oh, that wasn't the noise i was talking. you have to drive the car the thrid saterday of the month" There goes the TSI
