Yeah people, I am a mod there as well and its really a great forum.

Well, except for I guess it's missing some things:

1) Administrator that cares
2) Organization
3) Traffic, even though the site has been around for like 3 years
4) ....naw... I don't want to waste 15 mins listing everything here... :D

Man, there is nothing like free advertising. Thats like me going to the Honduh dealership and telling people to come visit me at Nissan. Thats just wrong. Did anyone else bother reading the user agreement? I did. So, I used this nifty thing called the Internet, and called up ole' Igor on AIM, and he said that this was a exception. He told me that CarForums.com was his favorite site, so it was OK ;)

ok first, i didnt think that this was a commercial advertisement, I wasn't thinking that there are popup ads on cf.com. I just love those forums and wanted more people to be there. I have nothing to gain by getting more people to go there. second where is this post about usernames ill explain.

Well, basically, this is even worse than say... Auto parts advertisement because I guess AF and CF would fall in to the same category of sites... but I really don't care too much if this is posted because the only thing AF members will do after clicking the link I provided is roflltao. Why would a person advertise a competitor on a site that is better in pretty much all aspects? :)
I remember when Dylan advertised AF on CF and he got banned and stuff by Brian, because Brian and everyone else knows CF is far from being on the same level as AF :)
It will not hurt AF in no way, because I am 99% positive not a single AF member will leave to join CF.
But since Brian's main intent is to earn $ with his 2 banners per page and popups combo, I say I help him out by giving him some clicks to his site, even though he doesn't care for CF other than $ and that is why he can't even add a new smilie to the forum that people are asking about, which by the way, in no way can take more than 30 seconds.

hey im sorry man, i didnt mean to take anyone away, just i myself visit 4 forums more than once a day so i thought others did too, i thought we could all be friendly , but i guess i was wrong.

In a way, Brian is cheating, using you guys to try to get CF more popular, etc.:)

I got one question did put a thread in the CF forums about AF ? I've done the same thing as you so i won't be too harsh on you b/c i know some people can be dicks (sho) So i can see where your coming from and your only trying to help out your site . CF has been up longer than AF and i'm pretty sure that they have alot more members . So i don't know why CF would want our members over there . I'm tempted to delete/close this thread but im a nice guy ;)

First off..

Brian doesn't make a dime from CF igor, I told you that over AIM. That all goes to supporting it. When Supercars.net left, so did Owen's paycheck, so he put the banners up topay for the board.

The thing about CF.com is that its a family. I talk to numerous people over the phone, over AIM, in ICQ, and we all know each other. Its a very nice, organized setup. It may not have the "fancy gadgets" that we have here but it gets by. As long as you can type your fine there. We try to focus on quality posts, and we root out all the fuckers.

Lets end this, please. All you are going to do is battle and battle and it will get NOWHERE. The forums each have better things than the other, so leave it to that. And I do remember igor advertising for this, thats how I got here. So don't tell death not to do it when I know people advertise for this. I even did it once, I didn't get banned for that (i called Brian numerous names and trashed his methods, now look, i am mod there:D). So check it out if you want to, you'll be surprised how mislead you were before.

So are we trying to separate the AF community here or what gang?

I don't remember Igor ever promoting this board on CF. I remember some people, including carmaster, got all excited about this place and had links in their signatures. Brian soon put a stop to that, though. Not that we can blame him.

I do think that CF, as a board, is shite. The only good thing are the people there. I am aware that this is all a board really needs, but I think that if everyone got their shit together and moved en mass, then we could all live in harmany here - where we are not neglected by the admin. (in fact we are spoilt by the admin here :))
But as long as they stay, so will I.

CF members could do with checking out elitecaraudio to see where Brian concentrated all his efforts.

Yeah, I'm a member at CF too, but after the board split, too many people left. I heard about this board and figured it would be a good chance to help build a board I would like.

yea the CF site is still pretty good. its the same group of about 15-20 ppl that post regualry and since ive been there since 99 i still like it. luckily most of the morons have left there exceot TS1. but its still a nice board. i like usin both

I visited CF and was not impressed . . . maybe I will revisit in a few months . . . it seems like it has potential.

I happen to like the user interface and navigation here . . . it just feels right!

AF has cooler colors

Potential? Don't hold your breath, we only recently got moderators after asking for about a year. We are thoroughly neglected over there. But the people are cool

Adam, people defend American cars when they are unfairly talked about. However most people over at CF like Euro cars.
