Droning/Noise in Front of Vehicle

Hi---I have a 1997 Bravada. It always has had a loud drive train noise, but now it is even sounding louder and the droning/whirring noise seems to be coming from the front. It is not engine speed related, but noise increases with vehicle speed. I just noticed that when I make a right turn going at say 40 mph that the noise stops and then when I straighten out again it restarts again. I am wondering if I have an all wheel drive problem or something simpler could be the problem. Afraid to take it to the dealer as they always seem to throw a real high price on everything under the sun. I thought it was very interesting that the noise stops when I make a right turn. Any thoughts? Could this just be a wheel bearing going bad or?

88305tpiT/A had a similiar problem in early Dec., it turned out to be a bad front hub/wheel bearing.

Thanks and that is what it was---bad bearing and hub assembly on the right side. Repair cost total at $350, but problem is fixed.
