I have a 99 honda civic with power windows. It all started about 3 months ago.. I can roll my window down at normal speed but as soon as I go to roll it back up.. it is four times slower then normal. I only have this problem with driver window. (My windows are tinted, but the tint has not been torn or caused any other windows to lag like this one)

i see what you mean, well seeing as it a 99 the chances of it being a dodgey motor are low(not impossible though) so i would reccomend removing the window and the sliders its sitting in as the rubbers are brobably dry and catchey, use some power window lubricant or WD40 and clean out the crevise in the rubbers then put it back together and it should be fine. the reason it goes down easily is because of the weight of the window and gravity is helping it along, but when your putting it back up again your lifting all the weight.,.,.,.,.,.,.,
hope it works out for ya!

yeah, damn japanese and their weak power windows. what's up with that? my friend's maxima window motor stopped working, so we had to fix that. then my accord's rear window motor had to be replaced. and now my passenger window motor died, and i rigged it so that it would stay up. it's not that hard to replace, but if you don't know the difference between a monkey wrench and a monkey bar, then it's not a project for you.

my 00 accord has a problem with the passenger window when i use the driver side switch. Mostly i just have to jiggle the switch so im pretty sure its just a lose connection but I dont really feel like pulling the shit apart to find out i need something lame like a new switch when i can just reach over and use the passenger switch.

Why would you think the tint would be the problem? There's no real way it can be that unless the installer did a VERY hacked up job. But anyways, what you may need to do is take off the door panel and lube the shaft where the pivot runs through.

Is it difficult to replace the window motor in my 1990 honda accord? should i buy a used part or go with an aftermarket motor?
