Power Lumbar Support not working

Does anyone know why the power lumbar support on my 95 gt will not work. There are two controls, one that narrows the seat back by wrapping around you, and a second button that is supposed to control the lumbar support. The one that controls the narrowing works, but the lumbar support does not. I think these supports work with air pressure or something, but can find nothing in the manual (Hanes) about the seats.

my bet is that the motor for it is out but no garantees.

Thanks for the reply. The seat motor seems to work as I can hear the motor when I push the switch, but the lumbar support does not seem to inflate. I can also hear air escaping when I push the switch the other way, but as I say, the support does not seem to inflate.

had the same prob in my 96 it was the piece that holds the airbag in place on the back of the seat is a zipper unzip and fix

Thanks for your help, that is exactly what was wrong. Actually 4 clips hold the bag and one of the clips was missing entirely.I fashioned a new one out of piano wire, and now the lumbar support works perfectly. Thanks again
