:headshake I purchased a Colorado last summer. The 3rd truck in a row from Keley Chevrolet in Fort Wayne IN. It ran great for 1000 miles and then started to vibrate. I took it in for 2 new sets of tires, 6 wheel balances, a new drivdshaft, ect ect. Chevrolet customer assistance 800 people are the most miserable people in the world I've worked with. They refuse to acknowledge the defect even after 2 dealerships confirmed the problem as well as an independent tire dealer. The dealership says they are on my side and will give me whatever help they can offer. They don't want the truck back in on trade however as it would have te be resold defective. Going to BBB and then a lawyer if it doesn't get bought back. Really sorry Chevy, they know the trucks are defective, they don't know how to fix them so they offer oil changes and extended warrenties. Been buying GM since 1978 NEVER AGAIN

I Am Sorry To Hear About This. I Like The Look Of The Colarodo's. I Was Hoping To Purchase One In The Summer This Year. I Am So Discourgaed, I Have Read So Many Articles In Which Consumers Are Unhappy With The Truck Because Of So Many Unresolved Issues. I Wish You Good Luck In Your Journey To Get This Resolved.

That is kind of scary. I've always paid close attention to the ride quality on a test drive. I figure if it's smooth when new it'll be ok for quite a while. Reading that your problem actually started after a thousand miles is an eye opener. Pretty much decided my next car will be used. This dealer service and warranty stuff is getting to be terrible it seems.

Tom if you read his post, he is not complaining about the dealer service

Personally I have seen only one Canyon with a vibration issue and that one was resolved by replacing a defective tire (which was a soft spot found when I checked road force on the balance machine)

This may sound ridiculous, but are you sure it's the tires? Might have them run a compression test on the engine. A weak cylinder on the inline engine will sure cause some vibrations and with the isolation of these newer vehicles it may feel like something else. Wouldn't take ten minutes and would worth a try I'd think.

Tom, Merlin did say, "...and that one was resolved by replacing a defective tire...", so the problem was taken care of when he replaced the tire. Your suggestion might be helpful for someone who has already replaced the tire, and the problem persists.

Merlin, do you have any suggestions for dealing with those on the other end of the 1-800 customer service line which is evidently trying to avoid dealing with this customer?
