Im looking at getting a used Accord in the future, I was looking for 98-99. I cant afford one with too few miles, so it will prabally have to have at least 75k.
I am wondering if there are any Issues with this model that i should watch out for? I am concerend about the tranny failures. is there anyway it can be prevented?
I curently have a 91 Accord with 142,000 and has been near flawless.
I dont want to buy a Honda and end up with early 90's Chrysler reliablity, I want Honda reliablity.
Any help?

Well, the V6 (6th gen) Accords have tranny problems. Honda is replacing them under warranty as long as it's a certified preowned Honda/Acura. There were a few cases where the 4cyl autos had tranny problems. But that's only a few cases. The Manual (which is what I have) really doesn't have any problems. None that I have noticed anyway
