This is my first post, I have been lurking for a little while and there is alot of great information on the forum, anyway here is my story.
I am picking up a 97 Z24 119k miles on rolling chassis, 2.4l motor w/ 65k on it. I have not heard alot of good things about these cars, but the price is right and it gets better mileage than my Hemi Ram.
I am comfortable with doing my own car work, what do you guys/laddies reccommend as preventative maintance? Timing chain, fuel pump/relay anything you can think of. Thanx

Water pump. They're a bear to change too, since they're gear driven and not belt driven on the 2.4.
These cars are not as bad as they're made out to be. Just do routine maintenance, etc.

water pump is a big pain in the ass, gotta take off the damn timing chain
