How to pull off window crank to remove door panel?

Can anyone tell me how to pull the window crank off the door of my Mercury Tracer so I can remove the door panel? Thanks a ton!!!

Slip a rag between the handle and the door and work it back and forth-this will push the metal clip that holds it in out and the handle will slide off.

if its a manual window, you can buy a tool to remove a clip off of the window crank, so you can take the panel off.

I think I'll stick with the rag, sounds cheaper
