1996 Olds LS88 keyless entry problem

I have the two original remotes and have had them checked at the dealer and both are in working order. My car doesn't respond to either of them and was wondering if any one can tell me how to fix the problem. I have looked at the keyless entry forum but it doesn't mention the 1996 model year. Thanks for any help. Rick.

I had the same. You need to remove the battery from transmitter for about ten min. Put it back. Come very close to the driver side hood/door. Hold down the "open" key for seven to ten sec. It will be repogrammed to your car again. Good Luck.

Can any remote be reprogrammed to any car with this method?

I do not know. Olds LSS is the only car I have with remote keyless entry.
