Help moving a dead car

Hi, I couldn't find a forum for general help, so I hope this fits here.

I have a wrecked 1992 Prelude and I've been trying to get it out of my backyard garage to make room for my new RSX. The Prelude can't start anymore, the whole front is wrecked. We got it into the backyard in the first place by pushing it and steering it in. However, for some reason, the ABS turned on, and know the wheels are locked. Now we can't move the car out of the garage, and get it towed. I've tried jumping the car, but the battery is dead, so I couldn't try to turn off the ABS. A tow truck wouldn't fit into my backyard because of the narrow alley.

Is there anyway to disable the ABS and get the wheels unlock in this situation? I just want to get rid of this car.

ABS does not apply brakes, it releases brake pressure. Traction control applies brakes. It sounds like something is just stuck.

Yeah maybe, I really don't know much about cars, but the wheels are stuck for sure. The thing is, the car is in a really tight space, so I can't really use another vehicle to push it. This traction thing, is there anyway to disable it? Thanks again.

Cut the brake lines? Due to rust you may need to pry the calipers open.

IF you have traction control, it won't work with a dead battery. Probably just locked-up brakes. You could jack up one wheel at a time and use a tire iron to turn the wheels or pull the wheels and pry back the calipers or if it's junk...beat on the rims until they turn. You could even pull the calipers off. You need to diagnose what the hang-up is.

Call in a chopper and airlift it outta your backyard.

just open up the bleeder screws so that it has no brake pressure.

Spend a couple of bucks and get car dollies. (I don't remember the exact name for them) basically, they're a piece of metal with four wheels on each one. You place one under each wheel of your car and can push it in any direction, usually just by yourself... good luck...

is the ebrake on or in gear perhaps? This is a little trick I learned about moving cars around in any direction you want. Take and buy you two big sheets of plastic, they sell them everywhere that sells paint and such, get some thats atleast 3mil thick, a 10foot by 25foot package should run about 3 bucks. You will need a big thing of baby powder, buy the cheep stuff, you just need the texture of it really. Jack up the car and put down the first sheetof it, it will be alot bigger than the car so position it so there is extra in the direction you want to move the car, now sprinkle the baby powder over the parts where the tires will go when you move it, no need to cover the whole thing just the areas that the tires will be sitting on and the areas where the tires will be moved into. Now lay your second sheet down on top of the baby powder/first sheet. Jack the car down (you will have to do like the front end then let it down and the back end so that its completely under the car if that makes sence). Now just simply push it how ever you please. you will have to walk on the bottom sheet so you'll need to pick upthe top layer where your standing or push it with a big stick or something. The car will just slide around any way you want it, and its alot cheeper than car dollies, and you can use the plastic over and over or use it for other stuff. The baby powder is what makes it slide so if its not moving good throw some more between teh sheets of plastic. I'v used this method to move trucks around that weighed 3 tons with no problems.
