??? Front or real wheel drive

I feel rather foolish but need some help. This is my first car a a single woman and as we about to receive snow here in sunny Victoria, I am planning on putting on my snow tires. I have looked all through my manual but cannot find out whether my 2001 Alero is front or rear wheel drive. Thanks!

i believe that all aleros from the factory are front wheel drive. when you get the tires from the shop they should be able tell you.

Nearly all GM automobiles, particularly at the entry and mid-price points (such as the Alero), are Front Wheel Drive (FWD). In fact, in general it is safe to assume FWD on nearly any vehicle in that price range.
