Help!! Rear Light Wiring on 2001 Jetta

I've got all the carpet out and trying to figure out how to plug in the little brake light plug into the light fixture on the drivers side. So the question is where do I plug it in, the wire is only long enough for one place, but it doesnt want to go in there...????

FYI my body shop "forgot" to plug everything back into the rear light assembly before giving it back...I think i'll charge them for my time into it.

just a thought, but did u ask them to put it back? or weren't they supposed to? if they could redo it for you, it might save a lot of hassle on your part. if the body shop is half way decent or cares anything about customer satisfaction they woud take care of it. in the shop where i work, that would never fly. customer satisfaction is above all else (except in extreme cases )

I would but I just moved out to Cali from Texas, so it would be kinda difficult...I wouldn't want them to touch it again anyway. Can anybody look in their jetta to see where that plug goes?
