:confused: When i first try to use reverse on my '95 cherokee country in the morning or any time after it sits for a while, reverse just slips. it moves slow, but does not fully engage. After I gun the engine a couple of times it jumps into gear. It does not always do it but most of the time. Any solutions.

sounds like a pending tranny rebuild... could try checking around for other cheaper fixes in the meantime. also, try changing the filter and fluid and adjusting the bands

I had the same problem with my 93 Grand Cherokee and changed the fluid and filter the old fashion way-It did not help. I then paid a shop to change the fluid using a flush method. It worked like a miracle:)
