Oh heres the deal, I stepped on the scale at work and was rather disapointed with the results. im 19 almost 20, 6'4" and 273 lbs. I got the braud shoulders and all that so I know Ill be a little over the "normal" weight for my height. Heres my problem, I dont know what excersises i can to to loose the weight. All I want to do is loose the beer gut ( i havent had a drink since may so I guess it really isnt a "beer gut" anymore. Before you recommend any, you should know I have had several injuries that have prevented me from doing several excersises:
#1 Ive broken my ankle several times, the bone never healed right so it prone to being dislocated and if I run even a short distance it swells and bruises.
#2 I dislocated a rib so doing situps becomes painful after about 50 or so, My rib hurts like hell but I bearly even feel the effects of situps, besides the pain in my ribs that is.
#3 After years of breathing assorted fumes and dusts my lungs suck.
#4 I live in edmonton so half the year its frozen and you cant really do anything outside.
#5 I have no room or any sort of excersize equipment in my house at all.
#6 for the time being I dont have the money to get a membership at a gym
Given all that can you recommend some exercises that will help me loose some of this weight and tone me up a little? Im aslo trying to eat right but given the hours I work its often had not to end up with fast food.........

Just do your basic situps, pushups, squats, "superman" exercises. For the
"superman" execrcises simply lay flat on your stomach with your hands extended outwards, and lift and hold for about 3 seconds each time. Also I use 8 pound hand weights and lift those everyother day. I also park far from places and so on. Also you need to eat right as much as possible. I do the basic exercise 3-4 times a day. I usually fit in about 75-100 each daily. Also drink A LOT of water. Even when eating fastfood most places have salads so get a salad instead of a burger. Hope this helps a little bit.

he said he can't do sit ups... but i agree with everything else. eat healthy... look at it this way... if you burn more calories than your body takes in, your body has NO choice but to loose weight. try riding a bike or if you can save some money for a gym membership in the future, those cross trainer things are great for burning calories and put little to no stress on your joints (really great machines IMO). your main thing is your diet.

Easy way: Stress
During summers and breaks when I have no school, just work full time and eat normal I'm about 10 pounds heavier then when I'm busy the entire day, leave at 7:30 get home at 10, forget to eat and stuff. Probably not healthy though, but I can loose weight.

Yeah the situps are a problem..... I figured the rib would have healed already but a few days ago i tried the situps :banghead: I used to do 75 situps an day with a 24 lbs steel plate on my chest but i guess I cant get back to that for a long time........ that worked quite well for keeping the pounds off..............Got any other excresizes that are similar to sit ups? maybe one of those wont hurt the ribs and work the gut like I want

To lose weight, you need to be doing cardio - not resistance training.
Try some excercises that are low impact on your ankles. Power walking up steep hills, swimming in a pool, cross trainer (need a gym for that one) or rowing.

Eat A LOT OF PILLS, slim-fast and everything else...
I would probaly just ride a bicycle or something, and yeah, be busy, get a time consuming hobby, you won't be hungry.
