The time has come......

I hate having to worry about "editing" content in this forum. It seems that I have been getting a lot of reports from this forum about the content of certain posts. I have been working a lot more and been busy in general, so I would like the little bit of time that I do spend on this board to be good, not worrying about having to go through posts and editing or closing threads. There is no need to start needless flame wars or brand bashing. Automotive Forums has message boards for everymake, so if you feel the need to claim the superiority of your make and bash other cars, do it in your manufacturers message board. I would really appreciate it as well if people from this board wouldn't go to other boards purposely to instigate arguements....that only brings the same thing back here. It isn't no where near as big a problem as it was before, but I just want to talk about it now before it gets back out of hand. Hopefully you all can enjoy your experiences on this board without worrying about hoards of flamers descending on this forum and causing problems. Have a nice day. :D:D

Maybe I'm mistake(correct me if I am...), but it seems that you're singling non-Honda owners out here, as the ones causing the problems. If that's what you're doing(and I hope not), then I have to say that you are horribly mistaken. There are what...4 domestic owners on here in total? Blackbird, 327BelAir, 90Notch, and myself. I know that 90Notch, Black, and I are not flamers. We've been members on ph.com longer than most everyone here, and throughout the whole time have never pranced around with an "anti-import attitude", or anything of that nature. I think that there are certain members on here who are extremely childish and carry on with profanity and the like and it's very uneccessary and corrupts the forum. My point is that I'm feeling like you're pointing at non-honda owners as the manufacturers of problems, when in reality, we're mostly not. Once again...correct me if I've misunderstood.

that is true its also stems from disputes between domestic and import owners
ie the tossers who spit on import cars and kick them like in that post in one of the off topic forums

Self, you should be familiar with my from before then. I am not pointing a finger only at other makes coming here and flaming. I am against brand bashing period and I advised people not to go causing trouble on other boards which ends up bringing a lot of flamers here. Fact is, if you don't like Honda's, or at least can't tolerate them, then this forum isn't for you. There are quite a few respectable and knowledgable domestic guys that come here and they are more than welcome.

I dont see why people cant just love cars in general. Some people only like the car they own, and everything else is trash. People like that need to open their minds and quit being so imature.

I agree...... Im not a honda owner, but this is one of the better boards on this site, and it always has more new posts, keeping it civil is a good idea.

make it six domestics (me too), but i agree, if there's a problem, then settle it in person or on the phone or pm's (yes the apostrophe is important sometimes  ) or email or anything else, cause i know i hate it when the title of a thread catches my attention, only to see two intelligent posts followed by countless :argue: and no help or advice
feel free to put this anywhere you want as far as flame threads go.

I wouldn't really worry to much about the fakers & the haters. They always go through what I have come to call "The Process". Pretty simple really, they show up with an attitude (for what ever reason) and start flappin' their gums. Then everyone on the board with half a brain tells them in a variety of colorful phrases and multitude expletives to basically shut the f*ck up and stop bothering everybody with their wannabe toughguy bullsh*t. Then one of two things will happen; 1. The person/persons in question will lose the attitude and get with the program or, 2.They keep running off at the mouth and soon after they find they have alienated themselves from the rest of the board. And with no one replying to their post's, except to say "F*CK OFF", they leave. Now, I understand that your situation is a little different Fernie (you to nutt), but rest assured that there are still plenty of members from wayback that support you and all enthusiasts who choose to trick their ride, regardless of manufacturer. I've said it before, and I stand by it now, it's what's UNDER the hood that really counts. My signature says everything else. So F*CK the haters, 'cause they never last.

I know that i am new to AF, but I know what you are talking about. I posted a streetracing story and imediatly all these people w/ some sorta V-8 name start bashing the s*** out of my post and i am having to give them every last detail just to try to get them to shut up.I know in that post i made a mistake on a definition of as term and i dont mind being corrected for that but it drives me up a wall when people who have no business on this forum come and just try to start an arguement. I know that there are people that b/s on the net, you just have to accept it b/c its going to happen. I dont mind if they want to come on and not be so dam critcal (which those people do exist) or if they want to see what the "other" racing world is doing. The original reason i became a member was to get some tech help w/ my charger but i grew to find there are alot of other people that i can help and other threads that i want to reply to. All im saying is it is nice for some one to say something w/out given the 5th degree to try to defend themselves.
ps. thanks for your concern.:dogpile:
