Fuel starvation during startup

Upon starting my 2000 Silverado 1500 (V8) pickup, it turns over for 5-8 seconds before starting up (fuel starvation??). The engine idles well when after starting and during operation, only has trouble with the start. It does not seem to be temperature related. Anyone have thoughts?

check your fuel pressure regulator, mine did the same thing

or your plugs, wires, spark, that sorta thing

I'm having the same problem. I changed fuel pressure regulaor and it dodn't fix anything.
