acetone it is right ?

ok this is my first time removing these decals. seems like acetone is what most ppl use in FAQ. my decals seem more like paint than just stickers, but i quess acetone will do. let me know what to avoid and what not ....tks

You might want to use non-acetone nail polish remover. I used that stuff from Walmart to remove the tampo prints from my Maisto CLK DTM (2002 version - Vodafone). It works like a charm. BTW, I used Q-Tips to rub off the paint. The non-acetone stuff won't harm the base layer of paint and that might just do the trick for your decals.

The problem with acetone nail polish removed is it easly damages plastic. If you take apart the car and JUST have metal you shouldn't have a problem with it. Non-acetone can be used all over though.

I think the non-acetone requires a little more elbow grease but its definetly safer.

Be careful with this stuff either way. If you keep rubbing one spot continously you can actually start rubbing the paint away. I usually work over a period of an hour or two and do little sections and then wash off the excess polish remover.

i didnt know about non-acetone remover. i wiped out some paint on the metal as well as on the plastic lip. now the lip has a faded look to it. kinda like a weathered version.
