Hi Guys I had a problem the morning when removing the ice and snow from my truck. It seems that the passenger side wiper lost its correct position on the shaft and now it goes down to far and hits the cowl. Can someone please tell me how to remove the wiper from the shaft so I can reposition it? Also I think my wiper module is going bad (they don't turn off right, delay works when it wants too) just where exactly is this madule and do standard auto part stores carry this? Thanks Bob

not sure on the modual location, sorry, but to take the wiper off, ther base has a plastic piece over it, that pulls off at the back (side that would be closest to the drivers side) once that is up i beleve the bolt is exposed, be careful not to tork on the plastic to much it will break

I guess that plastic piece covers the whole bottom section of the wiper. I gave a halfhearted attempt at getting it off but was unsuuccessful. I will have to give a better effort when I get more time. Being the passenger side means its also in the middle of the truck, not to easy to reach. Thanks for the reply

dmbrisket 51 is dead on. to get that plastic piece off it will pop up on the back side and pull out toward the back side (back side being the side opposite from the wiper itself). hope this helps and good luck.

Guess I got to get a screwdriver and pry it up from the base at the bottom or back. Then there is a bolt? I thought it may have splines and maybe stripped it out.

ive gotta work on my truck, when its in the garage, (dry) ill take it off and see where the pressure points to it are, i think it is right at the back of it, at the round end

Well Sucess! I just grabbed the plastic piece by the side and got it off. There are two tabs on either side of the bottom of the wiper that holds the plastic piece in place. After that there is a nut that holds the wiper on the shaft via a tapered splined shaft. With the wiper moving there was some damage on the socket inside of the wiper but it looked salvagable. I put it back on used some blue locktite on the nut and I should be good to go. Thanks again for all that responded.
