Yesterday my wife was on her way home from work and the wipers just quit working. We had a bunch of snow here, so I assumed so didnt clear it out and out a strain on the motor and blew the fuse. So I went and checked and sure enough it did. I replaced the fuse and it worked fine. Well this morning, I went out and cleared all the snow off the car and went to start it up and the fuse blew again. I tried many more times, and even without the wipers being in the on position as soon as I attempt to start the car it blows the fuse. Any suggestions, can't drive the car atm since its still snowing out, and only car we have so need to get it fixed ASAP.

I had a problem like this, and mine stemmed from not cleaning off the windshield completely, the problem was that some bolt became loose. The hyundai people told me that hyundais have a feature that prevents the wiper from breaking by having some of the bolts losen up when there is excess weight on the wiper.

Well I ended up disconnecting the wire harness and inserting a new fuse. Then I turned on the car to see if it would blow the fuse. I figured if the motor wasn't connected and if it did blow again then the problem wouldnt be in the motor. But the fuse didnt blow so I assumed it was a motor problem. I hooked the wire harness back up and the darn wipe blades worked again. Well see tomorrow morning if they work for me again or not. Thanks for the help
