Ignition module

is this a common fault on the early 90's 2.2 engines?
I have a 1993 Cavalier with the 2.2 engine. I checked all the plugs and all the plugs fire once when I first turn it over then it won't spark anymore. I wait 2 mins and try again and it does the same thing. I replaced the coils. and it still does the same thing. I was thinking it might be the ignition module. I want to make sure it is before I spend the money. I installed new plugs and wires aswell. it's getting lots of gas
lots of cranking power. one other quick question. my oil was low but I topped it off after I took everything apart. is there a sensor that prevents the car from starting?

Remove the module and take it to AutoZone. they will test it for free-before you purchase a new one.

Call around. I am certain someone can test it. A Haynes manual may(usually does) give instructions on how to test it with a multi-meter. You can get a Haynes manual online or at most local parts stores. Good Luck.
