With a V6 you are usually more limited more than with the v-8. What I would tell you to do is to check Sean Hyland Performance, or Kenny Brown Performance. I would also check JDM Engineering even though they speicalize in Ford Lightnings they know their stuff up there. I know there are more tuners out there that are good but those are the ones I have had the most luck with.

Vortech makes a supercharger kit for the V-6 and I've seen them do very well at autocross events, so concentrate on handling.

first off convert to a highflow duel exhaust system, that will add some power. have the rear gears swapped over to a lower ratio, such as 3.55's or 3.73's. i believe they make underdrive pulleys for the 6er's, that will help a little. next i would supercharge it, there are a few companies that make kits for the V6 mustang, juts don't remember off hand. the aftermarket for 6er's is starting to grow, and is less limited then it use to be. 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords had a whole section dedicated to the V6 mustang back in July of 2001. It was interesting to see what is being done to the V6 stang!!

First of all, the v6 mustang is a good starting place. Second of all, if you are looking for performance start with the basics: Air intake, dual exhaust...but not a true dual, with a true dual exhaust you lose too much low end so start with a mock dual exhaust...gears as previously stated. Once you get the basics done with get a limited slip differential becuase if you haven't noticed already you only spin one tire when you burn out or just turn fast in genereal. Once you get to modifying the engine past intake and exhaust you are definitely going to need a limited-slip differential. A stock 8.8 inch rear end costs about 1000 plus install, but on the plus side you can sell your 7.5 inch rear end to a fox-bodied mustang owner to get some of the money back...the fox body only had a 4-lug set-up and your mustang has a 5-lug. That is a place to start with the v6 modifications. If you are a v6 hater just know that I would love to race you...legally...and I guarentee that I would beat the crap out of you.
