The ABS lite could be caused by a multitude of things. Better get the codes. best to have it scanned but Dale might know a way of digging them out with out taking it to a shop
If the drivers door lock works from the door switch, I would suspect the module or a wire coming from it thru the flex lume between the door and the jam.

any info to get the codes would be great(without paying the dealer a million dollars for it!....the driver door lock does not lock or unlock under any power(button or remote) have to do it manually,,do hear a faint clicking noise though, like a relay or something is triping.............

I don't have the code for the dash lite and the DRBII scanner is the best for diagnosis. Some private shops have them but you will have to look hard for one that does.
Is the click comming from under the dash or in the door??
If it is under the dash, look for a broken wire - probably at the door jam or the door lock motor. If in the door, check the lock motor. It may have seized up or something.

well like JD said, check the wires that run in between the door and the frame, they always get crimped and broke here, I had this happen to my power mirror on the passenger side, the wires got cruched and broken. you will c a rubber boot runnign from the jeep to the door in between the 2 hinges just pull the boot away and check the wires there.,
