To Whom It May Concern,
I have a Subaru Impreza 1996. I was replacing the instrument panel middle (temperature control) light bulb. Now none of the instrument panel lights work, not even the light in the radio. I have checked fuses, swapped fuses, and nothing seems to work. The lights are fine and work normally. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

So, when you take the new light out again, everything else works?

That's right, everything else works.

is it possible to put the bulb in backwards, if its a one way bulb you could be screwing up the relay....if not im clueless, it gotta be something with the relay...good luck

If, when you take the light out, everything else works correctly, but when you put the light in everything is broken, it is an electrical problem with the light socket or the bulb itself. The bulb may be creating a short-circuit somehow.

No, with or without instrument light it still does not work. All the other panel lights are out. I have found an "ILLUMI CON UNIT" in the dash near the center console. It contains a circuit board which I do not know how to test.

Hmm... I'd say find your local electrician.
