wind noise

I bought a 98' VW Passat three months ago, with 100k miles on it. I noticed is has a loud wind noise when it is driven with more than 40MPH. If the wind blows, the noise is unsupportable. My previous car, a Mazda Protégé, was more quiet than the Passat.
I checked the door moldings, they seem to be fine. I have no idea what causes that noise.
Did anyone have the same experience?
Thank you very much for help.

I have a noise, not sure if its a wind noise. It only happens when I got over 4oMPH. You sure its a wind noise?

If it changes when you go around corners it could be wheel bearings.

Could be the sunroof. If its not adjusted properly there is alot of wind noise generated. Just look at the sunroof. The front should be very slightly below the roofline and the rear of the glass should be every so slightly above the roof line.

I'm sure it's a wind noise that comes either from the front doors, front windows or moon roof. I'm saying that because it varies as the wind blows (the strength and the angle). This morning, the windows and the moon roof were frozen, and I can say I had a smooth ride. So, I'm going to focus on checking the windows and moon roof and let you know if I succeed to get read of that noise.
Thank you very much for the quick replies.
