oxygen sensor

2000 4x4 6.0 liter 2500 Silverado

Check engine light has come on twice had the code pulled and cleared. Both times I was informed it was an O2 sensor. The Autozone tech said his meter was telling him there's low voltage to or at the O2 sensor just past the converter on the passenger side. He said something about S2 or bank 2 when I looked at him my dumb look face he said passenger side..... past the converter.

What causing this, and what is the recommended course of action?

The O2 sensor on the passenger side between the convertor and the muffler has gone for a crap. Recommended course of action, Replace the O2 sensor then have the codes cleared.

Should I stay with OEM parts or do you have a recommendation? Pickup has 21,000 miles on it. Used only for hauling a horse trailer

O2 sensor will run your $70 to 125 depending on where bought. I'd recommend Bosch (sp) exceeds OEM specs. The sensor is easy to change.

Yep, screw out old one, unplug it, screw in new one, plug up, and clear the code. You should be good to go. What he said on brand. :)

give chevy a call and see if its still under worenty. some parts are listed above the 3 year 36. it should be in your book.

definitely bosch if other than OEM.
