I got good offer on a manual ecu, but i got auto. its for a ex. is there a difference between 5speed and auto ecus??

They are different. the ECU wont detect what gear the car is in and the check engine light will constantly stay on. I would recommend getting one for a auto unless your gonna swap for a 5spd...then just keep it.:D

Auto ECU's also run really rich at idle cuz it thinks there's a stall converter to fight against.
