It seems whatever you use to play music was getting permission to play the song and got it mixed up with another one. Just reset.

looks to me that your windows permissions for files got corrupt, look into your administrative tools in the control panel for setting permissions to reset all persmissions to your user group

guys guys guys.... it was just a joke (as if you couldn't tell from the subject). I just thought the error was kind of funny. actually what happened was I wanted to see how big all of my music was so i selected it all and clicked properties. Then when i clicked on the security tab that popped up because the permissions on all of my songs arent the same. sorry to provoke your minds :)

hah, you can make your computer files permissions different though. you can make your songs so you can only access them with passwords for created usernames

my songs are all on my linux fileserver. i run samba on there and just play them over the network. I have my music folder with most of my crap in it read only and I also have a public folder that's 777, that's why it gave me that error. :)

I also find it funny that you can see SaMBa settings on a linux box when you open the windows computer manager and try to manage the linux box.... way to go samba development guys... just need to make the active directory support work better.
