Here's some VTEC light how-to's w/ other cars. It's pretty much the same w/ some sort of modification...
Del Sol VTEC Light Mod (http://www.geocities.com/geo94delsol/vteclight.html)
Integra VTEC light mod (http://integra.vtec.net/tips/VTEClight.html)
Civic VTEC light mod (http://www.hazone.com/default.htm?howto/vlight.htm)
You can either tap the VTEC solenoid in the engine bay (requires running a wire thru the firewall) or the ECU already sitting in the car.

The Best way would be to just run it to the ECU itself. Like it mentioned in one of those links....the wire gets too hot and wet and will corrode over time if in the engine bay.

Yeah, the easiest way is to run it from the ecu... The coolest way to do the light is to go to office max or something and you can get these colored dividers that come with printable transparent stickers.... so what i did is printed VTEC on the sticker, stuck it to the green divider, and glued 2 more layers of dividers so it would be darker. Than i put it in my gauge cluster, theres an open slot right above 4500 rpm that i used. I'll post some pics, its sweet.
