yeah dude, iPods rock. I love them. A buddy of mine has one it it is cool. Even without the FM Transmitor you can hook it up to an aftermarket deck with an AUX In.
I am happy for you!! :-)

Yea man, I love my iPod. I got the 30gig one and the iTrip. The only thing is, I only use my iTrip on long trips, cause I don't like to go through the hassel of turning it on when I get in the car. I also have the monster in car charger which is great in long trips. I want to see if I can custome fabricate the iPod into my center console so all I have to do is just plug it in each time. We'll see.

i used to have an ipod in my car. i found it hard to driver and select songs on it at the same time. so i got an Alpine MP3 deck. i can fit 200+ songs on a disk, i have about 5 disks in my car sorted my category. much easyer to navigate with trying to drive and shift. my deck also can read Alpine MP3 changers, so you could for the price of an ipod get an Alipine MP3 deck and mp3 changer and hold all the songs of an ipod and be able to navigate through the 2 line text full scrolling deck.

The cool thing about the Kenwood music keg is its a hard drive that connects to A Kenwood deck. You can navagate folders and suck. iPods rule for moble music player.

hell yeah, i love ipods. i've had 3 of them. it's awesome cause when me and my buddies are driving down interstate in 3 different cars, we can all jam to the same music. you can put soo many songs on them and for treefrog:
all i do is make playlists of like 100 songs at a time and that way you don't have to be switchin songs all the time, works great.

the keg (the kenwood one ) is a hard drive that connects to a compatibile kenwood headunit so that you can scroll through them on the headunit. you also can take the keg inside and load it full of music. id rather have an ipod since it can work with any stereo and you can use it seperate

Guys, I have an '04 Eclipse with the stock Infinity stereo/CD changer...do you know if there's any inputs in the back that can be used to hookup the iPod with? I really don't want to get a new stereo for an iPod, and I hear the FM transmitters suck (and I don't have a tape deck in my car).

You gotta buy the auxilary cable, i dont know if the ipod brings it or not but best buy sells it for like 5 bucks.
Also, you can use RCA cables instead. Those are also in best buy so if you dont have an auxilary input then you can use your RCA input in the back.
But i have no idea if your stock radio has either one of these.

Stock system doesn't have RCA or an auxiliary input, nor can you unplug the CD changer and put in an adapter, as one isn't made for these units. Other option is to buy the MITAH plug that will give you 4 RCAs for direct input to the stock amp, but you'd have to convert that over to 2 RCAs coming from your iPod...and that's a mess. Best bet is the following (unless you use a lame FM Transmitter):

Great news for us sticking with the factory head unit...as long as Audiovox's new kit supports it, which I assume it will.
