Another way.....

Hey this has gone on for a couple months. Has he bought anything yet? If not...try this....buy a toyota or honda with a bad engine for cheap. Find a used engine in a wrecking yard and drop it in cheap. Toyotas and hondas are pricey ... even used....but less so with high miles on the odometer...and a bad engine. Build it up with limited $$$ on hand...and then trick it out over a few months or years as he saves his money. OR get a decent job and get a family or bank loan for something better. My opinion is that fixing up a $500 junker Geo is VERY risky and would be a bad move...Just more thoughts.........

LOL...you don't know me dude...nor have you looked at my previous comments/"opinions" apparently. Cars are my thing....and I have an open mind and have probably MANY years experience (36) over you. I'm also a car wholesaler. I buy, sell, and repair everything under the sun. And I'm not just pro Honda/Toyota...and I won't keep my opinions to myself because you choose to disagree. ps...I've never bought a "bolt on" mod kit ...And I buy parts from MANY sources. I think your message must have been for someone else.

heh, 36 years experience and never heard of a G13B swap. Take a look at my metro and tell me a 1.3L putting out close to 150hp, and all forged internals(stock) is a weak car. oh yea, it's only 1900 or so lbs too. Go away rice boy. I don't understand your perceptions at all. "Flaming""? What's that? No seriously you guys are way out in left field. EVERYONE has their opinions...and are entitled to them. We all have our own recommendations, experiences, and likes/dislikes...there is absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. And no...I haven't done "mods" nor do I know what a G13B is. I haven't ever done a bolt on. Not my cup of tea. Mine is motorcycles for major passion. Besides the '98 Valkyrie MC, I drive a '99 Dodge Stratus, a '97 Geo metro, a 93 Merc Capri conv., and an '89 Chev 4x4 pickup. You are taking things WAY too personally and have seriously misunderstood. Sorry about that.

I was not being rude ... yet, and yes everyone is entitled to an opinion. However, when it is unsolicited and not very helpful I tend to be a little defensive, and if you think it was unnecessary then so be it! I just love guys that search these threads so that they can enlighten everyone wiyh useless comments!!!

I didn't hear an apology...because it was rude along with a couple others that came back at me. It seems there is a little "click" between just a few on the Geos in the forum. Fine. My "unsolicited" suggestions have been in no way intended to insult. If they have not been helpful TO YOU.....and not "useful" to you. That's fine. But that doesn't cover everyone else's interests. I'll just move on and offer suggestions to questions and requests of "help" FROM MY EXPERIENCES. You don't have to agree. I use many different areas/cars in this forum. And I don't have the ego or need to "enlighten everyone else." I'm just a helper with opinions. And my opinions are valid to some people with open minds. So if it's ok with you....let's just drop this and move on. Thanks. ps my comments actually came out of a previous thread/request from someone who wanted to talk his brother out of modifying a Geo.
